Students 学生情况
Currently 5,628 students are enrolled on full-time and distance courses in specialties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physical rehabilitation, and Nursing. Students can pursue professional, bachelor’s, master’s and post-graduate degrees.
目前，包括全日制和远程教育在内，有学生5628名，学习医疗、牙科、药剂、康复和护理专业。学生可学习职业、学士、硕士和研究生学位。
International students comprise about 25 % of TSMU’s student body. One third of the international students come from Europe, USA and Canada. The majority (98 %) of international students study in English, while more than 50 % of TSMU lecturers have certificates of proficiency in English.
留学生占学生总数的25%。三分之一的留学生来自欧洲、美国和加拿大。绝大多数（98%）的学生用英语学习，同时本校50%以上的教授都拥有英语水平证书。

A new version of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, published in January 2018, presents web performance of universities in last six months. Ternopil State Medical University took the first place among Ukrainian medical universities and the 21st place among all 327 national institutions of higher education (http://www.webometrics.info/en/Europe/Ukraine%20).

The site 4 International Colleges & Universities published an updated ranking in January 2018 (https://www.4icu.org/ua/). In it, Ternopil State Medical University has ranked fifth among 171 universities in Ukraine and placed first among medical schools of our country.

Public organization Regional Center for European Integration Projects has recently published on its website a 2017 ranking of Ukrainian universities according to its Anti-corruption Policy Transparency Index. Expert team of this organization has worked on the ranking for 9 months.

Ternopil State Medical University placed second among the 202 universities that participated in the study. TSMU transparency level is 70.69%, with the point total of 20.50 out of the maximum of 29.

The university implements the latest in teaching approaches, including telecommunications and telemedicine technologies, stimulation center and phantom classes. The Institute of Nursing is the only school in Ukraine offering distance learning programs leading to Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing for domestic and international students.

TSMU professors carry out research projects in a number of clinical and biomedical areas. Research takes place in the affiliated hospitals and research centers, which include several labs and an animal facility. On average up to 35 major research projects are ongoing each year, as well as over ten clinical trials. TSMU scholars publish in a number of domestic and international journals; they also have an opportunity to submit their findings to one of 12 medical research journals published by the University. Each year, TSMU hosts 20 research and applied science conferences in various areas of medicine. Over the past 10 years, scientists of the University have received 654 invention patents.
捷尔诺波尔州医科大学在临床和生物医学领域开展了多个研究项目。研究在附属医院和研究中心进行，那里拥有数个实验室和一个动物房。平均每年不间断地进行35个主要研究项目，还有十多个临床试验。我校学者们在国内外各大期刊杂志上发表了大量的论文，并有机会在我校发行的12种期刊中择一发表他们的研究发现。每年，我校都要举行20个涵盖各医学领域的研究和应用科学会议。在过去的十年中，我校的科学家们获得了654项发明专利。

In 2016 Ternopil State Medical University has become one of the 10 universities in Ukraine participating in Strengthening Academic Integrity in Ukraine Project (SAIUP), the initiative developed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, and American Councils.

For the last 12 years TSMU has been organizing the International Student Summer Camp for its students, as well as students from European and American universities.

The university’s international partnerships with more than 66 universities and institutes in Europe, Asia, USA and Canada provide an opportunity for collaboration and global academic exchange.
